Started by the eighth grade Class of 2023, The Coyote’s Den Club was officially launched on December 6, 2022 at the O’ Holy Night event. Students worked for several weeks to create items for sale. While some students worked on the production line, others were tasked to design a website, create spreadsheets for inventory and manage the “bumps” that occur when starting a non-profit club. As of 2024, we have donated over $15,000 to eight charities that were researched and voted on by the club participants. In the near future, the plan for the club is to expand it to all members of  the entire school and to continue to grow the services that can be provided through the club. 
       The mascot at HSS is the coyote. It is no coincidence that the coyote is part of our club’s name. Coyote’s are animals that take care of their pack by defending one another, sharing their food and at night gathering together in a den to keep each other safe and warm. It is our feeling that Christ wants us to be a part of His pack and ensure that others are looked after, fed and have a safe shelter. We have so much to give and offer with our time, treasure and talent. It is our hope that by using our unique, God given gifts, we can help to better the lives of those less fortunate.
